Plank

Former Colorado Court of Appeals Judge Leonard Plank joined the professional staff of arbiters at JAG in 2003. He served as a Colorado Court of Appeals Judge from 1988 to 2002. Prior to his appointment to the court of appeals, Plank served as a Denver District Judge for fourteen years and as a county judge for four years. In 1985, he served as President of both the district Judges Association and the State Council of Trial Judges, and also served on the Governor’s Task Force on Civil Justice Reform.
 
Plank has received the Civis Princips Award from Regis University, the Denver Bar Association Award of Merit, and the first ever Judicial Excellence Award given by the Denver Bar Association. He has served on the Colorado Supreme Court Civil Rules and Criminal Rules Committees and on numerous Colorado and Denver Bar Association committees, and was appointed to a multi-year term on the City of Denver Ethics Board in 2003. He is co-author, with Anne Gill, Esq., of Colorado Appellate Practice, published in the Colorado Practice Series by West Publishing.
